bareMinerals New Skincare Press Launch

bareMinerals New Skincare Press Event bareMinerals New Skincare Press Event bareMinerals New Skincare Press EventSo I don't think I have mentioned on this blog that I now work for bareMinerals UK! I started working for the company in February working in Social Media and I love it! It's always been my dream to work in Social Media for a beauty or fashion brand and the hard work over the last few years from University, to internships and jobs has finally paid off. I love working for this brand and have learnt a lot in a short space of time.
Last Thursday saw the Press Launch for the new bareMinerals 'Skinsorials' skincare line coming in June. I'm so excited to finally see this launch as the line is all about natural ingredients and I'm all about that in my skincare products. After all, these products are what you are going to be using day in and day out!

The Press Launch took place at the Oui Rooms in London and looked like one of my Pinterest boards in real life with it's minimalist decor, greenery, brick work and touches of marble. Dreams. Not forgetting a healthy array of treats for the morning session! I've been trailing the skincare for a couple of weeks now and I am loving the hero product of the line; Skinlongevity Vital Power Infusion which is a serum infused with  'long life herb' with to protect against ageing and damage, promoting radiant, youthful skin.
And who doesn't want that?!bareMinerals New Skincare Press Event bareMinerals New Skincare Press EventI love the minimalist style of the packaging and I do think the price range is very reasonable for high-end skincare. This new skincare range launches in June so keep your eyes peeled and your pennies ready until then!
Be sure to follow Bare Minerals UK on all social media platforms too to keep up to date with new launches, backstage musings at BM HQ and competitions!

Current Favourites

I haven't wrote up a Favourites post for a while - but I am eager to share with you some of my newest and current loves. When it comes to accessories and jewellery, I am a Silver lover (you won't really ever catch me wearing Gold jewellery!). I have collected jewellery over the years so needed a cute little Dressing Table Plate so I can keep all my everyday pieces on where they are easy to reach when I'm rushing in the morning. I found this little gem on eBay and I love it. It goes with my room so well and houses everything I need on it!
I also purchased this Silver Watch from Topshop a couple of months ago as I love the style of mesh wrist watches. They seem to be all the rage on social media at the moment but I have super small wrists so I have struggled to find one that actually fits. I love the fact this has holes on the strap which make the watch fit me snugly and the small dial doesn't look silly on my wrist. It also didn't break the bank at £25!
As we draw nearer to Summer, I prefer to reach for a lighter make-up base and this Rodial SPF 20 Skin Tint* + is perfect for that. It gives just the right amount of coverage I need for everyday wear. You do have to set it with a good powder though as the finish is very dewy and brightening. As with make-up, my wardrobe also has a little update nearer to summer. These Primark Lace-Up Flats have already become a staple footwear choice for me recently, loving them so much that I have them in three colours now - I just can't get enough of these and they are only £8 a pair. Win.
Lastly, my Marble Phone Case* from Coconut Lane has been serving me well from the start of the year. I love how simplistic and minimal this looks. You can get 20% off on the Coconut Lane website using my code: katielovess.

Clinique Chubby In The Nude Foundation Stick

I'm always on the look out for the perfect base products as I feel Foundation is one of the most, if not, THE most important make-up product for me. If my skin is looking flawless then I feel confident on the inside and out. One type of Foundation I have yet to try though is a, Foundation Stick so was very intrigued to give the new Clinique Chubby in the Nude Foundation Stick a go!
I have the shade 'Grandest Golden Neutral' which is a teeny bit dark for me on a day to day basis but has the perfect yellow/olive undertone so is great for me to use when I fake tan!
This product is so versatile for many reasons; It's a handbag essential for everyday touch-ups, it's quick to use in the mornings and is more hygienic than using fingers. I use this in conjunction with a light coverage foundation in the areas I need a little more cover. I simply draw on to my skin with the stick where I need it and blend out the edges with a foundation brush. I really like the extra coverage this gives and it doesn't feel cakey on the skin at all! Another bonus is that it is oil free so doesn't feel greasy or tacky which is great for long hour wear.
