Black & White

BLACKONWHITE OOTD BLACKONWHITE OOTD BLACKONWHITE OOTD BLACKONWHITE OOTD
(Crop Top: Asos/Jeans: Topshop/Shoes: Primark/Clutch: New Look)

Here's a quick post to show you my outfit from last night. I wanted to wear something quite simple and comfortable as I knew I'd be on my feet all night. These Primark sandal heels are my new favourite, I've been looking for some block sandal heels for some time now but didn't want to spend a lot of money. Then I found these and they were only, £12. Primark's shoe game is amazing for Spring/Summer, had to stop myself from buying so many. Definitely addicted to shoes.
As I love the Topshop Joni Jeans I decided to invest in some White ones for Spring/Summer. The Joni Jeans are my favourite jeans, so comfortable, stretchy and high-waisted. The only problem I have with these though is that they are a tad see-through so underwear can be an issue ha. Other than that, I know these will be getting a lot of wear in the next few months.
(PS: Sorry for posting this post a few times, had some issues with Bloglovin'!)

L'Oreal Collection Privée Cheryl's Nude Lipstick

LOREAL COLLECTION PRIVEE CHERYLS NUDE LIPSTICK LOREAL COLLECTION PRIVEE CHERYLS NUDE LIPSTICK LOREAL COLLECTION PRIVEE CHERYLS NUDE LIPSTICK LOREAL COLLECTION PRIVEE CHERYLS NUDE LIPSTICK LOREAL COLLECTION PRIVEE CHERYLS NUDE LIPSTICK LOREAL COLLECTION PRIVEE CHERYLS NUDE LIPSTICK
When it comes to Nude lipsticks, I have said numerous times before on this blog that I usually stick to pink tone nudes as these suit my pale yet yellow undertoned complexion better than peach, cream nudes that wash me out and make me look dead! However, I'd heard about the, L'oreal Collection Privée nude lipsticks in which there are six shades tailor made to suit all different skin tones from the really fair to the darker end of the spectrum. Even though I am no where near as tanned and glowy as Cheryl Cole herself, I thought this colour would be the best for me as I have dark hair and brows like her. The darker nudes were not the right tone for me, and the fairer nude options would suit somebody with light hair and pink-toned pale skin.
I am seriously in love with this shade, it has just the right about of brown for my skin tone with a hint of pink which counteracts that horrible washed out look I hate. I seriously am loving this nude lipstick! To get the perfect nude lip, I start by lining my lips with, MAC Boldly Bare Lip Liner, then go on to use the lipstick on top. I find this lipstick looks amazing with a heavy, brown, smokey eye and a wash of bronzer. The formula is so creamy and I think this lipstick is a nice inbetween between a matte and a more shiny finish. These are only, £8.19 as well!

Dogtooth

DOGTOOTH DOGTOOTH OOTD DOGTOOTH OOTD DOGTOOTH OOTD ICONEMESIS PHONE CASE ICONEMESIS PHONE CASE
(Fluffy Jumper: Primark/Skirt: New Look/Brogues: Office/Belt: H&M/Bag: Cambridge Satchel Company/Phone Case: Iconemesis*)

I wore this outfit a couple of weeks ago and I'm still in love with the Sixties look at the moment. This dogtooth skirt is a new love of mine from New Look. I've been looking for a nice, structured, dogtooth skirt for a while now and came across this one whilst procrastinating from doing University work (as usual). It was under £20 as well, New Look are so good for bargains and the quality of the skirt is also lovely and thick. I had to belt mine up a bit though as it was a tad big, hence the reason it's on the short side, but I don't mind that though if I'm wearing tights.
The lovely people from, Iconemesis sent me this gorgeous floral phone case. They are a UK based brand who work with independent artists to create beautiful phone cases like this one. I picked this particular one as I love anything floral and thought it was really cute. They have so many unique covers that it's definitely worth having a look!

Soft, Bouncy, Waves with John Frieda Frizz-Ease

JOHN FRIEDA FRIZZ EASE JOHN FRIEDA FRIZZ EASE JOHN FRIEDA FRIZZ EASE JOHN FRIEDA FRIZZ EASE
John Frieda Frizz-Ease Smooth Start Shampoo*
John Frieda Frizz-Ease Smooth Start Conditioner*
John Frieda Frizz-Ease 6 Effects Serum*
John Frieda Unwinding Curls Calming Creme*

Now when it comes to hair products and hair styles, I'm not really that fussy. I tend to leave my hair natural usually as I prefer it's look to straight, and my hair never really tends to hold a curl. However, I thought I'd give my curling tong another go in conjunction with these new look John Frieda Frizz-Ease range. I have fine hair yet a lot of it! This means I tend to never put products in my hair as it often gets weighed down and I absolutely hate that, so I was interested to see if these products would be any different.
I started by washing my hair with the Smooth Start shampoo and conditioner and I really liked using them. These products claim to hydrate the hair whilst keeping it shiny (who doesn't love shiny hair?!). I didn't find that the conditioner was too heavy for my hair either which was a bonus. Then, on wet hair I applied a small amount of the 6 effects serum into the lengths which helps to keep frizz at bay and also has heat protectant in it which is another bonus. I used to use this product religiously when I was younger when I was obsessed with straight hair and loved it. I found my hair was lovely, soft and sleek after blow-drying which usually makes my hair looks really frizzy!
Next I curled my hair using the TRESemme Salon Professional Volume Hair Tong which I wasn't so keen on when I first purchased as the curls did not last in my hair whatsoever. However, I used it again on the hottest setting and was literally amazed. The curls lasted in my hair until the next day, which is a rare occurrence with my hair! To finish, I used a teeny bit of the calming creme to brush through the curls to give a more bouncy wave finish. I think this product would be better for people with really curly hair though, as this helps to calm them whilst defining each curl.
Overall, I think these products are great, and for such a reasonable price, you can't go wrong with John Frieda.

Sixties Inspired

sixties ootd sixties ootd sixties ootd sixties ootd sixties ootd sixties ootd sixties ootd
(Dress: Primark/Hat: Topshop/Shoes: Topshop/Coat: Miss Patina/Necklace: H&M)

As you can probably tell I really love vintage inspired clothing and my outfits tend to reflect this. One look I'm totally loving at the moment is Sixties inspired outfits. Particularly, A-Line skirts, shift dresses and monochromes checks and stripes. This shift dress is a Primark bargain I bought about a year ago and love! It is so easy to wear and it has a collar which sold it to me (shock horror). To go with the monochrome look, I wore these silver studded loafers to create the complete Sixties look and my Topshop fedora to add an element of colour to a predominantly Black and White outfit. I don't really tend to wear jewellery but I do happen to love the look of dainty layered necklaces - when I saw this H&M one I loved how it looked and it's only one necklace which makes it a lot more simple to wear without the issue of them all tangling up! Topshop have some cute similar style necklaces which I have been eyeing up also.
