Now that Autumn is here, I can whip out one of my favourite eye-shadows of all time, MAC's Cranberry Eye-Shadow. I ♥ this shade, a lot! It's a perfect deep Burgundy shade with a Gold shimmer running through it. My first ever blog post was a review on this eye-shadow (here) and it is now one of my most popular blog posts, ever. Not surprising, as this shade is so popular! I find this shade to look different in different lighting - sometimes it will look almost Pink toned, whereas, other times it will look like a burnt Burgundy-Brown - whatever the shade, I think it's perfect for this time of year.

How I created this look:
I started with applying my base, (Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation), concealing any areas using Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Light, filling in my brows and then powdering where necessary.
I then finished off my base using, MAC's Bronzer in, 'Gold-Go-Lightly' and Benefit's Rockateur Blusher on my cheeks as it's a nice Rose-Gold warm toned blush that won't clash with the eyes.

For my eyes, I find it best to apply a base when using the Cranberry eye-shadow. I used Maybelline's Colour Tattoo in, 'On and On Bronze' all over my lid and blended it out with my fingers. Next I used my MAC, 239 brush to pack on the Cranberry eye-shadow. I really like this brush for pushing on product on to a cream eye-shadow as fluffy brushes can just slip and slide both products everywhere. The 239 brush helps the powder to stick nicely to the cream base. To add some definition to the outer corner of my eye and into the crease, I used the shade, 'Tease' from the Urban Decay Naked2 Palette. I also adore this colour as it's so versatile for so many looks!
Finally, I also used my Naked2 palette for defining the inner corners of my eyes with the shade, 'Bootycall'. For my eyelashes I used, Dior's Iconic Mascara and then lined my bottom waterline with Rimmel's Scandal Eyes Eyeliner in Black.

Because the eyes are quite strong, I settled for a Nude lip, using MAC's, 'Boldly-Bare' lip-liner blended out with a lip-balm.

The best thing I found with this, is that the eye-shadow look did NOT crease AT ALL. I was actually amazed. I wore this to work and then into the evening for around 8 hours and there was not one single crease or smudging from the eye-shadows. I highly recommend MAC eye-shadows, the staying power is amazing!
